What matters is the pursuit of truth, regardless of its source. Attachment to the lamp may prevent one from appreciating the value of the light if it shines from another lamp. In the search for truth, one must set aside preconceived notions and look for the absolute truth with an open mind.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p><p>Religion is the light of the world, and the pursuit of religious teachings requires freeing oneself from rigid constraints and blind prejudice. All religions stem from the one reality, reveal divine knowledge and contribute to the progress of humanity. God's guidance to humanity is the ultimate truth, a truth that is indivisible. Independent investigation of this truth, while setting aside differences, will lead to unity and harmony. Religion's purpose is to foster love among people and bring hearts together.<\/p><p>Bah\u00e1'u'll\u00e1h emphasizes the importance for each individual to independently and objectively search for the truth so that their belief is based on personal understanding and conviction, rather than merely following others.
