The Bahá'í Faith is an independent world religion whose followers come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nations. Its adherents share a common belief in the oneness of God, the unity of the human race, and the fundamental unity of all religions.
Throughout history, God has sent a succession of educators—His Messengers—whose teachings have laid the foundation for the advancement of human civilization. Bahá'u'lláh explained that these divine revelations stem from the same source, sharing a common essence and foundation, while differing in specific laws and ordinances to meet the needs of humanity in each era. These revelations can be likened to successive chapters of a single religion, all originating from the One Creator.
Bahá'u'lláh's message calls upon all peoples of the world to strive for global peace, to live in unity and love as members of one human family, and to work together for the material and spiritual prosperity of humankind.
