The peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God.

Oneness of God

Bahá'ís believe in the existence of One God, the Creator, and in all His Messengers and Prophets. They hold that God created humanity to know and worship Him, and that the essence of all religions is fundamentally one. Bahá'ís believe that the Founders of the world’s major religions are Manifestations of One Truth—God. The Bahá'í writings express deep respect for other religions and explain that true belief in the Oneness of God inherently acknowledges that all humanity was created by God's will and shares a common origin. Therefore, belief in the Oneness of God must also lead to the recognition of the oneness of mankind.
