Bahá’u’lláh explained that science and religion go hand in hand and that religious truth and scientific truth must not disagree, rather, they should complete one another as they are both considered different aspects of one reality. Religion and science are essential for the development of humanity and the means to progress to a vibrant and flourishing age on all levels.
Religion is the source of moral values and all that helps humanity to attain spiritual perfection, whereas science is the means for human brains to make discoveries and allows for understanding nature’s secrets and how to utilize nature to advance and improve circumstances. Science and religion are like two wings of the bird of human understanding that can soar to great heights, one wing is not enough, but together, the means of safety, security, prosperity and advancement, both material and spiritual can be achieved.

Material civilization is like unto the lamp, while spiritual civilization is the light in that lamp. If the material and spiritual civilization become united, then we will have the light and the lamp together, and the outcome will be perfect.
